Our Story

Flatbush Patio LLC, commonly referred to as “Patio Gardens” is located at 580-590 Flatbush Avenue in Brooklyn, NY. Flatbush Patio is comprised of two buildings with approximately 500 apartments. The apartment sizes vary from large studios, to 1, & 2 bedroom apartments. The west side of the building overlooks Prospect Park as well as views of the Statue of Liberty and the Manhattan skyline.

The building was developed in the 1960’s by David Wolfenson, and was owned by Fred C. Trump. Fred Trump donated the building in the early 1990’s to the National Kidney Foundation of NY & NJ, and in the early 2000’s was sold to Flatbush Patio LLC.

Prior to 1960 a prominent theater called “The Patio” stood at this site. The Patio was the largest and most luxurious theater at its time. The Theater opened on November 2, 1928 and closed when it fell into ruins by the late 1950’s.

Flatbush Patio LLC is home to a diverse and friendly community. This building offers several amenities including Laundry rooms on each floor, a package locker system, 24 hour security, and an underground private parking lot. Many of our units have balconies. We take pride in providing all residence with a high standard of service made possible by having an onsite management office with well staffed maintenance and porter departments. The building is situated on a well lit tree lined block with nearby public transportation and boutique shops.
